Berde Mózes Unitarian High School held a three-day pilot training for students from 15 to 17 December 2025 as part of the Erasmus+ project “Together for Stronger Volunteering”.
What was the aim?
The training focused on helping students:
better understand the importance of volunteering
strengthen their sense of social responsibility
develop their communication and cooperation skills
become able to plan their own volunteering initiatives
How did the programme work?
Over the three days, participants took part in interactive, practice-oriented activities.
Self-awareness exercises helped them recognise their own values and motivations, while group tasks developed their problem-solving and communication skills.
The students:
learned about volunteering opportunities at home and abroad
tried themselves out in simulated job interviews
developed and presented their own volunteering project ideas
A special feature of the programme was its practical element: participants did volunteer work in the school library, gaining first-hand experience of community engagement.
What were the results?
By the end of the training, the students:
communicated with more confidence
worked together more effectively
developed creative and feasible project ideas
Why does this matter?
A tangible effect of the programme is that participants became more open to volunteering and more motivated to engage in their communities.
The experience gained here will help them in the long term to become active, responsible members of society.
